The Excitement Builds!

So in two days we leave for a pretty big trip. Being a first generation American I’ve been hearing about Italy from my dad since I went to live with him at age 12. I’m finally going and I’m so excited. This trip isn’t all about me, but it is a 25 year dream coming true. I’ve wanted to meet my dad’s side of the family and see the country that he called home for the first two decades of his life. I also want to travel all over Europe but this trip is going to be just three countries (and I’m already worried that we are going to be rushing through these three!).

So here we are with twins in their senior year, and the whole college experience about to embark upon us. We love experiences and this is our Christmas present. 3 countries, 14 days, and a few extra family members along for the ride! Grandma Joyce and Papa John have never been to Europe either so it didn’t take much harm twisting to add them to our trip. And our nieces Rachelle and Adrianna are always up for adventure (they’ll be our resident experts since they’ve been to many of these places before).

On Todd’s Birthday this summer we broke the news to the girls in our favorite restaurant. Our amazing airline deal was too good to pass up and December was going to be the month we finally needed those passports we had gotten earlier in the summer. We’d been talking about this type of trip for a while so their reactions weren’t super shocked, but they were excited.

So if you want to follow us on the newest Berry Adventure, then bookmark this page or subscribe wherever you see that button on this page. Blogger used to have a cool app, but they discontinued it. Using the desktop version from our phones is a struggle at times but we will power through! When we started writing the blog of our road trip a few years ago we realized what a great reflection it provided us in the evening after being out and exploring all day. These blogs are for us. Memories we can cherish forever. But they are also fun to follow, especially if you know the unique personalities that we all have! There’s bound to be some humor and sarcasm over the next two weeks so sit back and enjoy!
